Overwhelmingly considered one of the most important charitable organizations in New Mexico, The Buckaroo Ball Foundation, Inc. provides critically needed assistance to regional non-profit organizations which serve the community's at-risk youth and severely challenged families with important programs and services. The Buckaroo Ball distributes funds to many small local non-profits with low staffing and funding levels which may not be able to raise sufficient funds independently to reach their goals.

The Buckaroo Ball Foundation, Inc. is organized and incorporated under the laws of the State of New Mexico to provide assistance to at-risk children of Santa Fe County by holding an annual event, the Buckaroo Ball, to raise and distribute funds for the benefit of one or more non-profit organizations holding tax-exempt status under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue code or public bodies providing services to at-risk children in Santa Fe County, New Mexico.
With only one paid employee, the Buckaroo Ball is produced and managed largely by the volunteer members of the Buckaroo Ball Foundation, and by hundreds of community volunteers. The money that is raised through the Buckaroo Ball is used to produce the event itself, to pay the salary of the only paid employee, an Executive Assistant, and to support our grant recipients. The Buckaroo Ball Foundation, Inc. maintains extremely low fixed costs throughout the year in order to ensure that the maximum amount of money can be granted to our selected grant recipients, and to guarantee that a contribution can be made to our Endowment Fund each year.
Since its inception 15 years ago, the Buckaroo Ball has raised over $6.75 million for local non-profits. The Buckaroo Ball is continually recognized by local community leaders, residents of Santa Fe County, and its grant recipients as one of the most important charitable organizations in New Mexico. |
